Consultant training programs are available for those that want to become a CHAP certified consultant and provide guidance for customers going through the accreditation process. These courses are designed to help you, as the consultant, become an expert in the accreditation process.

This event is for all of our customers regardless of what stage of the accreditation process you are in. **This workshop also serves as new or renewing consultant training. There will also be an additional post-workshop virtual component and a consultant competency exam (must have 80% to pass) for CHAP Consultant Certification.
Both the Home Health and Hospice accreditation intensives will focus on the accreditation process, the CHAP accreditation standards, the most cited deficiencies, and strategies to implement to attain improved compliance within your own organization. Linda Lockhart brings decades of experience from the ground up, starting as a staff RN and progressing to administrative leadership, and expertise which spans both free standing and hospital-based home health agencies, providing a comprehensive understanding of the sector.
Her career trajectory includes a unique chapter with Health and Human Services in Florida, where she served as a fiscal intermediary, conducting rigorous weekly and monthly audits. This role forged her expertise in regulatory oversight and financial accountability. Driven by a commitment to quality, she pursued a graduate degree, aligning her expertise with her long-held goal of contributing to accreditation. Her work with CHAP, including nearly a decade as a Site Visitor, has enabled her to leverage this knowledge, guiding agencies toward achieving and maintaining the highest standards of care.

CHAP is happy to offer a DMEPOS accreditation intensive allowing customers to learn about the CHAP DMEPOS standards and processes and provide consultants the opportunity to become DMEPOS certified. For consultants, this training will help prepare you to work with customers and guide them through the process of becoming accredited. A post-workshop exam is required to become certified (passing score of 80% is required).
This session is intended for all CHAP DMEPOS accredited agencies or those who wish to learn about CHAP Standards of Excellence for DMEPOS. This one-and-a-half-day workshop will provide an overview of the CHAP standards for DMEPOS, the most frequent citations in each area, and tips to deal with these challenges.

Shannon Dorsey-Dunlap is a healthcare professional with 29 years of experience. She is a licensed, registered Respiratory Therapist and a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, with a Masters of Business Administration.
Prior to joining CHAP, Shannon dedicated her career to the Home Health, Skilled Nursing, and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) industries. During this time, she held leadership positions including Administrator, Vice President of Compliance and Risk Management, Vice President of Operations, General Manager, and Regional Quality Improvement Manager. She has also served as a field surveyor for The Joint Commission.
While serving in a compliance role, Shannon obtained multiple certifications including: HealthCare Compliance (CHC), Corporate Compliance and Ethics (CCEP), Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), and Home Care Specialist Compliance (HCS-C).
