With a remarkable 25-year journey in post-acute care, Shane LuQuire is a seasoned Growth Specialist predominantly rooted in DME, home health, and hospice. He has exhibited profound leadership, notably as a national company’s Vice President of Sales. LuQuire’s true leadership testament lies in fostering employee recruitment and retention, skill development, and promotion.

Deeply involved in acquisitions and turnarounds, he has consistently demonstrated his capability to transform businesses. Believing in cultivating the right culture for success, LuQuire has crafted leadership training, established pivotal performance metrics, and excels in integrated frequency, territory optimization, and mapping. As a Growth Consultant, he makes strides in strategic tool development, client training, and using data to identify market differentiators.

Kassi Ellison is a dynamic leader in the community-based healthcare industry with over 15 years of experience as a business development executive. Her career progression has bestowed her with an in-depth grasp of the multifaceted roles within business development, solidifying her position as a recognized expert in the industry. She has a proven track record of identifying and maximizing growth opportunities in home health and hospice, resulting in significant increases in census and revenue.  

Ellison’s adaptability in challenging situations, and her exceptional skills and experience in building new ventures from the ground up, providing exemplary leadership during successful acquisitions, and turning around underperforming locations, have empowered her to effectively lead and coach teams across three different lines of business concurrently.  

As Vice President of Growth Consulting at CHAP, Ellison identifies emerging directions and works with stakeholders to position the organization for continued success. Through her experience and strategic approach, she can help our partners plan and execute successful business development strategies, leading them to substantial growth.

Dr. Jennifer Kennedy is the Vice President of Quality, Standards, & Compliance. She spent many years as a leader and nurse in diverse healthcare settings with the past 25 years in hospice and palliative care.

Dr. Kennedy came to CHAP in 2021 with a vision of moving the organization’s quality forward as “the” accreditation partner of choice for the majority of community-based providers. She believes no matter what type of care a patient receives or how many times they receive care, every experience should be of the highest quality.

Kennedy leads the CHAP quality team and interacts with CMS related to regulatory and quality issues. Kennedy serves as faculty at national and state conferences, is widely published in medical trade journals, contributes to and reviews health care published materials, is a published author, and teaches graduate healthcare administration courses at the university level.

Kennedy serves as a member of the Hospice & Palliative Care Network of Maryland board of directors and has been honored by the UK’s St. Christopher’s Hospice as a Nursing Pioneer for their 2020 Palliative Care Nursing Project.

Dr. Kennedy has a Doctoral Degree in Health Care Education and Policy, a dual master’s degree in health education and Case Management, a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and is a Certified Healthcare Compliance Professional.

Vice president of Learning Solutions, Jan Sweat comes to CHAP with over 25 years of experience in healthcare, with a focus in the post-acute industry. For nearly two decades, she worked for Kindred at Home in sales, sales leadership, operations, and talent development.   

Prior to joining CHAP, Sweat directed the education and success of tens of thousands of healthcare professionals in Hospice, Home Health, and Palliative Care nationwide. In addition to her classroom impact, she spent several years as a growth strategist connecting corporate strategy to field implementation and interim area management. These roles equipped her with a unique perspective to solve provider problems with robust solutions.    

After graduating from North Georgia College and State University earning a degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology, she served as a case manager in a metro Atlanta hospital and a nursing home social service director for several years, where she supported countless patients and families.

Denise Stanford is passionate about the impact of education and training on quality improvement in healthcare. As someone who has utilized community-based healthcare services for loved ones, she understands the importance of high-quality care and services.

Denise personally experienced how education and training can transform an individual’s life and the lives of those they touch. Denise has been working as an educator in community-based healthcare for nearly a decade. She greatly enjoys creating learning experiences that engage learners and teach real-time skills that can be immediately applied on the job. Her master’s degree in adult learning has allowed her to work on the development of workshops and e-learning for healthcare professionals, focus on training for community members, and serve as an adjunct professor working with first-time college students. In her role at CFE, she helps craft meaningful learning experiences and oversees the operation of the department.

Keri comes to CHAP with 17 years’ experience in the post-acute healthcare industry and has held a variety of positions from direct patient care as a Registered Nurse to chief executive in both home health and hospice organizations. She has a passion for community-based care and enjoys educating others and contributing to their growth and development as a healthcare professional. Keri previously served as a board member/officer for the Oregon Hospice & Palliative Care Association. She received her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler, and her Nursing degree from the University of Wyoming.

Most recently, Keri served as a Home Care Surveyor for 5 years with The Joint Commission where she conducted surveys for home care organizations across the country and provided education to organizations regarding standards, regulations, and operational processes. During her last year and a half as a surveyor, Keri was responsible for the onboarding and orientation process of new home care surveyors. She has led several projects and workgroups to include educational presentation development, technological survey advancements, standard operating procedure development, and new hire orientation development. In addition to developing educational presentations, Keri has been a speaker/presenter at state association conferences across the country.

Formerly, Keri served as Executive Director for Coastal Home Health & Hospice where she was responsible for overall agency operations and management. She also served as a Director of Accreditation for CHAP responsible for operational oversight and survey activities to validate consistent application of accreditation and regulatory standards for community health providers with a focus on safe, quality patient care delivery.
