Welcome to Hospice PEPPER: Turning Claims Data into Compliance Action. This on-demand, asynchronous course is designed to educate hospice providers about Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report (PEPPER), why understanding PEPPER matters and how to access and interpret your hospice's PEPPER data and act upon the data to achieve compliance. Objectives 

• Explain what a Hospice PEPPER is and why CMS produces it.
• Identify the claims and episodes of service that PEPPER summarizes.
• Describe how target areas are calculated and what the 80th percentile means.
• Recognize the hospice target areas and why each one is monitored.
• Interpret percentiles, outlier status, and the report's key worksheets.
• Apply suggested interventions when your hospice has high outlier(s).
