Welcome to Home Health PEPPER: From Target Areas to Action Plans. This on-demand, asynchronous course is designed to educate home health providers about the Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report (PEPPER), why understanding PEPPER matters and how to access and interpret your agency's PEPPER data and act upon the data to achieve compliance.
Objectives
- Explain what a Home Health PEPPER is and why CMS produces it.
- Identify the claims and episodes of service that PEPPER summarizes.
- Describe how target areas are calculated and what the 80th percentile means.
- Recognize the home health agency's target areas and why each one is monitored.
- Interpret percentiles, outlier status, and the report's key worksheets.
- Apply suggested interventions when your agency has outliers.
*Learners are eligible for 1 hour of continuing education - ANCC Nursing Contact Hours upon successful completion of the course material and survey submission.

Disclosure: Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Criteria for successful completion includes completion of the entire course and completion of a post-course survey. There are no relevant financial relationships with ineligible companies for those with the ability to control the content of the activity. Nursing contact hours will be awarded for completion of this activity until August 17, 2029.
